Careers of the future-have not been conceptualized yet. Technology that will be used on a daily basis-has not been envisioned yet. Problems, solutions and questions which live in the future are the ones we need to be preparing for now.

Our students are about to enter a world beyond our comprehension. A world that has yet to materialize.

Yet. The key word. The word that lives beyond tomorrow, but rapidly approaches.

How can we possibly prepare for something unseen and unknown?

Self education.

It exists now. It is in our present. It can prepare a child for an unknown future.

No standardized test can assess it. No check off list will monitor it. No amount of bribing with flashy colors or fast action can bring it into magical existence.

Self education must come from within.

It is the hope of our future.

It is why I homeschool.
