Madness. Mayhem. Incomprehensible despair. Random chaos.
Sometimes the world seems consumed with darkness.
Life flows as small irritations fill your day. Milk spilled on carpet. Piles of laundry. Cobwebs.
Evil enters the stage. Your world changes.
You call your loved ones, you hold your children closer and realize that personal frustrations in life do not compare to those who are surrounded in chaos. Perhaps, you are in the chaos. Perhaps, you are are living in its aftereffects. Regardless, a scar has been etched upon your heart.
Evil announces it arrival. It has been there all along, but the veil of this world has been lifted allowing you to peer deeper into the darkness.
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12 ESV
We must choose our focus-madness, mayhem or hope.
Hope is at the center of mayhem. It is ready to act as it steps unheeded into the scene. It assists the nameless while offering compassion to the hurting. Hope cries, screams, agonizes and prays for each soul who walks into darkness.
We must choose hope. We must be hope to the hurting, we must offer our tears, we must lift up our prayers. If we are hurting, we must know that hope is being offered.
If not for ourselves, then for others.
Little eyes are watching, they are seeing. Little eyes seek to know if you will accept the hope offered. Lessons are taught regardless the seasons in life. Happiness, sadness, tragedies.
Choose hope so that you can direct God’s children to Him, the author of Hope.
